Ranking and Paneling

Ranks and Requirements

Rank Requirements

These are based on your results from panels on the East Kingdom’s A&S General Rubric and across five (5) divisions in one (1) of in three (3) categories (Blacksmithing, Bladesmithing, and Armoring).

If you believe you qualify to move up to the next rank, complete the Rank Up Request form and a guild officer will contact you.

Documentation

Documentation is essential to the paneling process and, therefore, to progression within the Guild ranks. We understand that it may be intimidating or difficult for some but this section is here to help you. Take a look at the documentation walkthrough video created by our Guild officers, or check out Ragnarr’s documentation philosphy here to help you get started.

First is a link to the “EZ Doc Writing Form.” This 1 page form breaks down documentation in to five essential areas: Project Title, Historical Basis, Tools and Materials, Procedure, and Sources, along with guildelines for each of these. It works well for submissions for any unranked member, and is a good starting place for ranked members.

Below we have examples of documentation that has been used by some of our founding members.

Badges

A member may wear the badge appropriate to their rank, and may place the badge appropriate to their rank on items they craft. An unranked member may do the same with the Guild arms. The requirements to achieve each rank, and the benefits and expected responsibilities of each rank, may be found in Appendix A.
